Michael Venker and Louis Fico formed a fateful partnership in 2016, when Louis was able to solve a technical problem in 10 minutes, for $25, that Michael had unsuccessfully spent over $1000 trying to solve! Yellow Lion Media was officially created in January 2017 with that profitable first encounter in mind: a dedication to honest, fast, and fair design and development without compromising quality or accuracy.
Today they have included three other very talented designers, developers, and writers to their team.
After graduating from Parsons School of Design in 2007, where he was awarded a Golden Thimble Award for design excellence, Michael pursued a career in fashion. During his fashion career, he worked with companies like Marc Jacobs, Jessica Simpson, Dockers and was one of the original founding members of the
menswear brand Rochambeau.
Utilizing the aesthetics and graphic design elements he learned in the fashion industry, he now creates branding and websites for companies of all sizes and budgets.
From Westchester, NY, Louis began learning web development at the age of 13. Starting his professional career in 2008, he has worked with many
companies as a senior developer on a wide range of projects. From small web apps to eCommerce solutions, there's rarely a project
he's unfamiliar with.
Learning from his experience with some of NY's top web agencies, Louis brings an abundant mix of successful strategies to every project.
Originally from The Bronx, Gabriel is back in NYC, bringing his development skills to build websites for Yellow Lion Media. With a background in Computer Science and Mathematics, and emphasis on computational systems and theory, Gabriel’s development process focusses on optimized performance. Coupled with skills in interface design, he takes pride in developing products with enhanced usability in mind. He has experience working full-stack on various platforms, and with several backend and some frontend technologies.
Daniel Rosenthal has a degree in psychology and attended Brooks Institute of Photography where he studied visual journalism. Soon after his time in LA, he moved to New York City to shoot fashion and portraiture where he has worked with Fendi, AARP, Wilhelmina, Clio Image Awards, Chris Habana, Frankie Shaw, Indya Moore, and many others.
