NYCFC: Pride Game
The NYCFC Celebrated Pride Month on June 17th when the club hosted Pride Day at Yankee Stadium.
The Seattle Sounders visited, as NYCFC took on the reigning MLS Cup champions.
Both the NYCFC and Wix came to us to help brand, facilitate and celebrate the LGBTQ fan base. Both businesses wanted to engage the LGBTQ audience with the hope of gaining new LGBTQ fans. The NYCFC's mission was to showcase their progressive stance on anti-bullying and acceptance using the hashtag #weareone.
& Materials Used
In addition to designing and creating the website, we created promotional stickers to celebrate the pride month, as well as introduce the NYCFC to Boxers. We facilitated the event that took place prior to the Pride Game.
Tools used included:
+ Adode Illustrator
+ Adobe Photoshop
+ 123 Form Builder
Vision & Concept
The site, event, and ads needed to reflect Wix and NYCFC as well as Boxers. The goal of the site was to acknowledge all parties contributing but make use of the fin colors and them of Pride.
The site and campaign received over 600,000 impressions and was met by a sold out game, despite the torrential rain that both the players and fans faced that day.
The game was covered by CBS and USA today, and the players wore pride-themed accessories in celebration of the event.
